USPTO to Release Private and Public PAIR Enhancements
Based on feedback from the intellectual property community, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is pleased to announce enhancements to its Private PAIR and Public PAIR systems. Private PAIR 7.3/7.4 and Public PAIR 3.1 are scheduled to be released July 4, 2008. This release includes enhancements to the e-Office Action Pilot Program. The e-Office Action e-mail notification will now list the IFW document code and mailroom date, in addition to the application number and Attorney Docket Number.

e-Office Action Registration
In order to benefit from the e-Office Action Pilot Program enhancements, one must be a registered participant in the program. One can register for the e-Office Action Pilot Program by e-mailing your request to participate and Customer Numbers to the PAIR team at ebc@uspto.gov . As an alternative to receiving new outgoing correspondence related to a patent application in paper via postal mail, pilot participants in the e-Office Action program receive an e-mail notifying them to directly access outgoing documents in Private PAIR.
